This thursday night kicks off with the opening of Noah Taylor’s exhibition at the new impressive Lindberg Gallery in Collingwood. This will be Taylor’s first show in his hometown of Melbourne where he will be presenting a new suite of drawing, painting and sculpture.
Taylor’s artistic career has spanned many genre’s including stage, screen and music. Now based in the UK, Noah Taylor’s dark intriguing works stem from a now outside view of Australian art and life history. Taking off where the modernist movement departed, Taylor’s paintings reveal the unique undercurrent of the Australian psyche.
With Collingwood entrenched in some of Melbourne’s darkest history what better place to see Taylor’s characters and motifs come into the light.
